Scope of Works
377 solar panels were installed on four separate roofs at Ely House including the day-care centre for vulnerable adult. Prior to installing the solar panels on this roof, we renewed the roof coverings. The other three roofs were above busy Basildon Council offices and works to these areas were sequenced to minimise disruption to the day-to-day operation of the facility. This project ran concurrent with the 525 solar panel installation at Freebournes Road, Witham and also included the installation of a free-standing handrail and extension to the fire alarm system. A new cat ladder was installed to the day-care centre to ensure safe access to the roof to maintain the newly installed panels – safe access to the other three roofs is via an existing roof hatch and folding steps. Guarantees, the O&M Manual and the H&S File were issued during the on-site handover meeting.
